Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

Intensive rehabilitation programs designed to maximize functional recovery and independence following complete or incomplete spinal cord injuries.

Condition Overview

Spinal cord injury fundamentally alters motor and sensory function. Our program focuses on maximizing every opportunity for neurological recovery while simultaneously building compensatory strategies and adaptive skills for optimal independence.

Our Treatment Approach

Our comprehensive approach combines robotic-assisted locomotor training, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, intensive physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychological support. For incomplete injuries, we emphasize neuroplasticity-driven recovery strategies to maximize return of function.

Technology Used

Tyromotion robotic systems for locomotor and upper extremity training, Nexus electrophysiology for neurological assessment and biofeedback, Storz Medical shockwave for spasticity management, Alpinion diagnostic imaging for musculoskeletal monitoring.

Expected Functional Outcomes

Maximized motor recovery based on injury level, improved wheelchair mobility and transfer skills, enhanced upper extremity function, effective spasticity and pain management, and increased independence in daily living.

Duration & Monitoring

Intensive phase: 8–16 weeks, 5 sessions per week. Followed by ongoing maintenance rehabilitation 2–3 times weekly. Duration depends on injury completeness, level, and individual recovery trajectory.
